An exciting adventure of moving to Germany! This blog will tell the story of a simple guy (ME) from El Salvador, Central America who decided to drop everything and move to Germany. It may help you prepare for your own move here, as well as give you tips for how to adjust after you arrive in Germany.
Germany, like the United States and Canada, is a country with a large number of immigrants. Every year, hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world move to Germany for various reasons. These include being hired better jobs than the ones in their home countries, needing a better quality of life, or simply to escape from a violence-stricken area. All of these including the yearn for adventure, or simply the need to change one’s environment, makes Germany a country with great opportunities to migrate.
For people from Central America, Germany has the opportunities and it offers them a whole new world to explore. The country has a lot to offer, Starting with their culture, language, and diversity, it makes this place a great experience for every person who decides to move in. The Central Americans can find many jobs in Germany and integrate very quickly if they follow the proper steps to do so.
In my personal case, I was traveling through Europe and visited this amazing country, I already knew a little bit of German, and had the opportunity to visit an experience some of it’s picturesque landscapes, eat some of their famous foods (which is surprisingly more diverse than just sausage and sauerkraut), and drink with some of their apparently cold, but totally cool people! In my journey to Germany, I realized that it is a country of contrasts, which cannot be described in a single entry on a blog, in all honest this will take one…or a couple of entries to explain (or at least try to…). I fell in love with the place, and decided to ask around, make a good research, and ultimately made the choice of staying here.
This blog will include some tips, challenges, culture shock situations, and fun facts on the journey to migrate to this amazing country!
See you soon, and get ready to join me on this journey!
Bis Gleich!
